What can Google Assistant and Google Home do? Okay, Google… How hot is it now? What is the weather like today? What will the weather be like tomorrow? Will it rain in Mallorca this weekend? Do I need an umbrella today? Do I need sunglasses today? Language translations How to say words in…. We'll likely grab a Series X here to replace our long-serving Xbox One in the living room.

We'll miss the Kinect voice commands for media control, but the prospect of having our existing library ported over nearly immediately is pretty hard to pass up! That, and Halo Infinite split-screen co-op should be a good time. Will most likely get a Series X around release time, or shortly after. Hopefully there'll be an easy way to transfer installed games from an existing XBone. I don't really want to have to download GB from the store again I'm still on a p TV, so I'm going to go with the S.

If it's not available, I'll get an X. I would like an X, but since Halo Infinite is delayed I'm hoping they make a Halo Infinite-themed console kit like they did with Halo 5. I'm content to use a S until then.

Probably skipping the XBOX this generation. Every game they got that I wanted to play was also available for PC, but the majority of the PS games I wanted to play weren't so it seems like a simple call to go with the platform that by buying I'll increase the number of games I can play.

That's pretty much where I'm at. I generally prefer the Xbox controller to the PS4 but there hasn't been a title on the One that's made me fire it up in the past year or so. CommanderJameson wrote: I can't say I've ever noticed either noise or excessive heat from my One X - so I'm hopeful that will continue with the Series X. My One X got thoroughly pissed off when I put it in my TV stand cabinet where my original Xbox One was even with the door open it was having to crank up its fans to ridiculous levels ; it's much happier in the open air on top of the stand with no excessive noise.

I suspect the Series X will end up being the same, but it likely wouldn't fit in my cabinet anyways, at least not vertically. I've recently done a bunch of PC upgrades and will likely be upgrading my graphics card soon as well, so I don't think I'm in the market for the Series X at launch day-- a lot of the new releases that I'm interested in playing are cross-platform and available on PC. Maybe in six months or a year or so once all the bugs are worked out, especially if I'm able to find it at a decent price on sale somewhere.

Also won't be going for the PS5, although that's because my PS4 Pro barely gets any use at all; I've not really found my one or two killer must-play games for that platform, so I kind of regret buying it in the first place. Pretty sure that I'm going to be hitting up the usual suspects on the 22nd to try and get a pre-order in. I've been fantastically happy with the XBO throughout its lifespan and I've got a collection of games that stretch back to the OG Xbox generated via the BC list during the years though a lot of the OG games aren't yet supported in BC.

I've been on a real kick playing and replaying older games between the new hotness these past couple of years so having everything available in one device is very appealing and, frankly, I would be day-1 on the PS5 too if it supported all of my PS1 and 2 games OotB particularly Shadow Hearts - really want to replay that series and don't want to try and get a good connection to a modern TV on an old PS2.

With the details announced, I'm now thinking of using series X instead of a dedicated HTPC that I was going to build - it covers pretty much all of the use cases - Blu-Ray playback, 4k games, maybe some music streaming. Also if I simply buy rather than 'subscribe' to Xbox, what is the price for digital pass? On the other end, if I skip buying for now, what exclusive games I'm missing? I skimmed through the list and some piqued my interested - Stalker 2 etc, but generally the list is meh and not clear when they get released and not clear how long they stay exclusive?

That PS4 controller though I'm all-in on a Series X. I use my One X literally every day, for several hours of video streaming and gaming, and it's been absolutely fantastic regarding heat and noise through the whole ordeal. I also like the idea of having a monthly payment option and can definitely see that making gaming much more accessible.

Good job Microsoft, so far, so good. I think the Series S will be a hit with people like my sister. She's got two girls, 8 and 11, who are still playing the absolute shit out of their Wii games; they're not "gamers" as we might define them around here. She was never, ever going to spring for a Series X - but the Series S is right in her ballpark, price-wise. Surprised your sister wouldn't head right to the Switch, to be honest. Oscar Scherlin 8.
